Original Pencils and Inks To A Bronze-Age Sci-Fi Comic Book Page. Actual Line Art To A Space 1999 Comic Story, It Is Drawn By Vincente Alcazar, And Is A Large 12 " x 17.25"! THE FLYING SAUCER UPPER SPLASH PANEL IS AMAZING, AND THERE'S AN EXPLOSIVE RAY BLAST KILLING ONE OF THE BAD GUYS IN THE CENTER RIGHT PANEL!

You can enjoy it without having to read the rest of the surrounding pages, making this a superb stand-alone piece, ready to frame and display. Alcazar was not prolific and his artwork is very rare in the marketplace. He was renowned for his science-fiction and supernatural/occult work in this title as well as Creepy and Eerie.

Great images of the space-soldiers and the space ships and settings are exceptional. This memorable feature story came out during the apex of the science-fiction craze in the seventies. This page features great imagery and action. PLUS, VINTAGE COMIC ART IS HUGE!

OLD COMIC-BOOK ART IS DIFFICULT TO OBTAIN! Great detail work, with quality renditions of the mysterious alien characters! HIGH-QUALITY RENDERINGS AS YOU'D EXPECT FROM THE LINE THAT ENJOYED TALENTS SUCH AS SUTTON AND DITKO, ET AL. EACH PANEL IS LUSH, WITH DETAILED BACKGROUNDS, AND LOTS OF ATTENTION TO THE DETAILS AND FUTURISTIC GARB. This great sci-fi page is from Charlton Comics. The art of the bronze-era is notoriously tough to get, and once it sells, it can be out of the market for decades at a time. I've owned this piece for more than a decade, myself. Any comic-art fan will want to see our other current auctions, featuring dozens of pieces, including more horror and science fiction art and vintage cover production art. THIS ARTWORK HAS SOME BUMPS, BENDS, AND INDENTATIONS, AND THE WORD BALLOONS ARE PASTED ON. This original piece of comic illustration art would be a great addition to the collection of any fan of the unique original artwork to antique comics. This is the ORIGINAL COMIC ART, which is far bigger in size than a comic book or a magazine. A whopping 12" by 17.25", so you can imagine that every individual image is substantial. Much too large for our scanner, this jaw-dropper is a foot wide and almost a foot-and-a-half tall, so I took a few mediocre low-res pictures with the digital camera. A couple photographs show the art alongside a random comic-book, for scale, and I made a scan of that stellar splash panel. A conversation piece of the highest order, especially for anyone into Battlestar Galactica and Space 1999 and Star Trek and Star Wars and other space themed material. You really have to see this cool page in person to fully appreciate it! This actual one-off item was used by CHARLTON COMICS to produce the entertaining TV-themed comic-magazine which came out in 1975. Original Alcazar pencil & ink art from the mid-seventies such as this is almost nonexistant in the market.

This gorgeous showpiece is the original, none of it is mere "stats" or photocopies besides the text, -- it is especially striking since the inking was done to high standards, so it really emphasizes the high-impact images. This is one-of-a-kind material which would be a great acquisition for any fan of the old TV comics or space war artwork. Extra fresh, bright, and clean; It has obviously been well-preserved so far. Boasting lots of great details, this would be particularly impressive if it were framed and displayed.

But it could also be stored for investment. Many of you have dealt with us through our ads in CBM, CBG, O. We are secure packagers and prompt shippers so expect to be pleased.
